EZECOM is proud to be a Diamond Sponsor of the Advisor magazine’s Golden Era VIP Party, to be held at The Mansion on Sothearos Boulevard on Friday 5th April.

Back in the 1960s and 1970s, Cambodia saw a flowering of artistic talent in film, design and music. Now the country is remembering those heady days, and EZECOM is involved with what promises to be a great evening of entertainment at The Mansion, in association with the Advisor magazine.

From 5:00 until late, the Golden Era VIP Party will see a host of the older generation of musicians playing, accompanied by their younger counterparts. Kong Nay, the master of the traditional chapei dong veng will be playing, as well as the Underdogs, one of Phnom Penh’s most exciting new bands.

Singers Sophea and Sopheak from the band Krom , both classically trained opera singers from Cambodian Living Arts, will perform with their Smiley Band, which features electric Khmer violin.

Vor Sarun was one of the wildest rock ‘n’ roll star in ‘60s Cambodia. Now his son, Jimmy Kiss, is following in dad’s footsteps – and we’re hoping dad might even come out of retirement and perform alongside him.

As well as all this, DJane Sao Sopheak, of Meta House, will spin rare Southeast Asian vinyl from the ‘60s, and actress and Cambodian icon Dy Saveth, the first Miss Cambodia, is choreographing a ‘60s dance flash mob.

There will be screenings of some of Cambodia’s most celebrated movies from the Golden Era, thanks to Meta House and the Bophana Centre, and vintage clothes and accessories from the 1960s will be modelled and sold by Amanda Bloom, of the capital’s popular History Of Things To Come vintage clothing events.

It promises to be a night to remember, and EZECOM is delighted to be a sponsor, helping the country to remember and to celebrate its culture and history, and to have fun at the same time.
