Phnom Penh – Major and Career Fair (M&C) 2017 which was held on 25 June 2017 at Institute Technology of Cambodia (ITC) proved to be a major success with approximately 2400 participants.
As the eight annual event organised by Fulbright and Undergraduate State Alumni Association of Cambodia (FUSAAC), the event was presided by H.E. Hong Choun Narong, Minister of Ministry of Education and William A. Heidt, US Ambassador to Cambodia.
Targeted toward high school and college students, participants had a chance to listen to experts and get tips on how to choose a career and college major from local college administrators as well as professionals in variety of fields. Besides academic parallel sessions, the event incorporated performances and role play as edutainment activities that helped enlightening the audiences creatively and effectively.
“With the theme of E-learning and the focus of the usage of internet to build marketable skills, EZECOM strongly supported the event because we shared a common purpose of helping to improve Cambodia’s development through constant innovation and communications technology”, said Oknha Paul Blanch-Horgan, CEO of EZECOM.
“In addition, we felt that it is vital to establish a strong guidance that can help offering students advice and broad range of choices for their major selection and career plan. Hence, we are proud to be a part of Major and Career Fair this year and we will continue to support various activities whose aims are to generate positive impacts for Cambodia”, he added.
