Developeds by Telcotech, Telekom Malaysia Berhad and Symphony Communication, the high-bandwidth MCT submarine cable system is 1,300 kilometers long, and uses 100 Gbps technology that supports a maximum capacity of at least 30 terabits per second (Tbps).
Symphony Communication is the International Network Provider in Thailand and the first private company who invested in submarine cable system in the country. The launch of the MCT submarine cable system in Thailand will help cement the country as ASEAN's telecommunication hub and gateway to the world, and spur communications expansions, encourage trade and investment growth, as well as facilitate economic development for Thailand and ASEAN.
